1st time here. Laid the groundwork for a next visit. Salt and pepper shrimp were so good. Got the dish with shells off, but next time I will do shelling. The Dan Dan Noodles were soooo good and spicy! The house special rice and lo mein were also good choices. Would love to go back and try their lamb and duck dishes. Can't go wrong with the crispy scallion pancake. The drink of choice today was the Deep In South: Tequila Plata, Simple Syrup, Passion Fruit, Fresh Lime

Great meal and service! We got wayy too much food (intentional) so we could have extra leftovers for next meals. Food was excellent. We enjoyed all the dishes and could taste the good quality ingredients and good cooking. The spiciness level though was not as strong as other Sichuan restaurant (maybe a good thing for some). My favorite was the lamb and cumin and fish dry fry. Service was great. Food came out so fast and wait staff and team were very accommodating. Nevertheless, reservation is highly recommended. Drinks are great - they have a bar and I enjoyed the drinks I ordered. Atmosphere is beautiful, can feel a bit cramped but understandable as it's Chinatown. Overall, we love this place!

If you're looking for authentic Szechuan in Philly, Emei is a must-visit. This is my 2nd time here as tourist. The food is consistently great across the board or at least based on what we ordered. The Dandan Mian is easily the best I’ve had—perfectly balanced spice and texture. I also highly recommend the 水煮鱼 (Boiled Fish); it’s fresh, flavorful, and has that signature Szechuan kick. Definitely coming back! Also Justin is super helpful.

We went on a Friday afternoon. The place was maybe half full. It took a while before someone took our order. The staff didn't seem too attentive considering it wasn't that busy. Maybe it gets better at night and on weekends, not sure. The food was almost a solid 10/10. The squirrel fish dish was great. Perfectly fried, sauce not too tart, and there was a nice crisp to it. Their saucy beef with mushroom and bamboo shoots was amazing. Beef was so tender, probably one of the most tender beefs I've had. Where the food fell short on was the beef tripe in chili oil. Most of it was chewy, especially the tripe. The flavor was great. If the meat was tender, it would have been perfect. Despite the average service, the food is definitely worth a visit. They also take reservations but we couldn't find any for Friday night when looking a day earlier so plan ahead.

Highly recommend this place! We ordered the chicken lo mein and beef hot and spicy bowl. I was really interested in the dry-fry woks at other tables. The lo mein noodles were delicious and chewy. The beef dish was flavorful and spicy (spice level can be adjusted). We did a walk-in during a busy time and the hostess said they are booked out a few weeks but was able to fit us in, which we greatly appreciated! The lighting and atmosphere of the restaurant were amazing!
