To me this is one of my favorite noodle places in Chinatown among the plenty of competitors. Highly recommended for both dine in and take out and I'd say good for solo diner or any small groups up to 4 people. The noodles feature delicious broth, well textured, chewy noodles, and generous amount of toppings. While house special is good, you can get so many different varieties. The menu is fairly big besides noodles, with many of the iconic Szechuan dishes on offer.

The food is not well cooked, not fresh, doesn’t feel with flavor , I think the Maruchan Soup of 50 cents has more flavor, we asked for the pad Thai, shrimp tempura, spring rolls and cramp cheese. We called the manager and the waitress said nobody was available, we told them the food wasn’t good, and we tried a lot of Asian food. The food was tasteless and was undercooked, and the prawns tasted very artificial—they seemed like nothing but egg and flour. We didn't enjoy the dinner or the service at all. At the end they just charged for the pad Thai (we didn’t eat) we don’t recommend this place! If you are in Philly (Chinatown) don’t go to Spice C! I feel sorry for my friend that was coming from NYC to visit us and we bring her to this restaurant

Spice C is one of Chinatown's absolute best spots for a delicious bowl of noodles. What sets it apart from other great spots in the area is the richness and vibrancy of the broth, in my opinion. It's a pretty simple operation here: you pick whether you'd like hand-drawn (spaghetti-like) or shaved noodles, the spice level of the broth, and the proteins you'd like! They have a few other options besides the soup bowls, but that's really the star of the show that you shouldn't miss. I ordered the house special bowl at medium spice with shaved noodles. I'm comfortable with and enjoy spice, and I found the medium level to be perfect- it has a lot of Sichuan heat and I personally would not have wanted more, so I imagine you'd need to be quite spice tolerant to enjoy the hottest level. My wife ordered the hand-pulled noodles, and we both agreed that for a giant soup bowl that the hand-pulled were far superior. If nothing else, they were just much easier to slurp and eat without difficulty which made the whole experience better. My recommendation is for the hand-pulled noodles instead of shaved. My final recommendation would be to skip the "house special" which comes with three different proteins and instead just pick off the list of one protein that you'd like (the brisket was great!). Service was great and attentive, and the atmosphere is low-key but pleasant and it's nice to look out the window onto the busiest street in Chinatown.

I came from NY to visit my friends who live in Philly and they invited me to have dinner in Chinatown Philly. They told me this spot was good. Unfortunately, it did not fulfill my expectations. I ordered Pad Thai, Shrimp Tempura, Spring rolls, and crab cheese as appetizers. As you can see in the pictures, this is not Pad Thai, these are noodles and it didn’t have any special taste and it didn’t have the teriyaki sauce that they showed on the menu. The Spring rolls, and shrimps tempura were tasteless, and the spring rolls were not crunchy. We couldn’t eat and enjoy dinner here as Expected. We appreciate that you didn’t charge us for the appetizers, but the cook staff has to be careful in serving food that is not well cooked. I’m a New Yorker, and I had a negative experience coming to this place. I do not recommend coming here

The food was really delicious! The hand shaven noodles were amazing and it was just flavorful overall. The picture is actually one bowl split into two because of how much they give you! A nice place in Chinatown, hoping to come back soon.
