The newly remodeled and upgraded Heritage Asian Kitchen is exquisite ambiance for Sunday Dim Sum! Best dumplings we've had in years here served by John our attentive waiter! Our experience today was just right and made all 4 patrons very delighted and satisfied! Try out the Happy Hour on weekdays for food and drink specials !

We were craving Peking Duck after a disappointing experience at Bacaro Primo! So I ordered pick up to take home. I think PM answered and assisted us when we arrived. She was very friendly and had our order ready. What we ordered: 1.) Ha Gau $8.50 steamed shrimp dumplings very tasty and outer skin was not too think. 2.) Steamed Soup Dumplings $11.00 these were just so-so the outer skin was too thick. If you have had authentic soup dumplings you will understand what I am saying. The dumplings were steamed a bit too long. 3.) Half Beijing Slow Roasted Duck with Bao buns $36.00 the skin was crispy and duck was moist and tasty. A bit pricey but it was good. 4.) Almond cookies $4.00 these were tasty not your ordinary almond cookie.

Bo Lings is usually one of my favorite Chinese spots in KC, so this location visit was honestly pretty disappointing. The food is still decent, but this location just doesn’t taste as good. Everything felt a little less cared for overall, which is a bummer because the consistency used to be one of the best things about Bo Lings. I don't think that applied for this new Heritage update. Service was slow and not very attentive, and the biggest frustration was my partner asking for a rice accommodation. Staff admitted they *did* have the rice available, but refused to serve it because it was technically only for lunch hours. It just came across really rigid and unhelpful for no real reason? There was also a strong sewage smell inside the whole time we were there, which definitely hurt the dining experience. It's a beautiful building but it made me want to leave ASAP. Between the smell, the service, and the noticeable drop in quality, I’m just not really into the direction this location seems to be going under the newer management.

The decor is lovely and the atmosphere is perfect for special occasions. However, the customer service has significant room for improvement. We had an awkward encounter with the host, who greeted us with a blunt 'Do you need something?' While we understand that staff can get overwhelmed on busy days, a warm welcome is always expected. As for the food, it was decent, but the Pad Thai was so spicy I couldn't even eat it. For now, I’ll stick to delivery and only order a couple of specific meals.

1st visit. It’s absolutely beautiful inside. I would go and have a drink rather than eat. I didn’t care for the dumplings or the broccoli in brown sauce. Great guest recovery. My husband said the hot and sour soup was overly spicy and did enjoy the sweet and sour chicken. Again great service and atmosphere.
