Love stopping by for a Lao-rito anytime we are in the area! I always want to try other items on the menu but the chicken lao-rito with pineapple jeow aioli and rangoon rice balls have me in a chokehold! The chicken is succulent and seasoned so well. Each bite has an amazing flavor combo! I was glad to hear they moved to Parlor from the Iron District because now we get those lao-ritos more frequently and dont have to worry about weather being a factor. We also enjoy the vibes more at Parlor. Service there is always great!

Laos House is beyond crazy good fusion food. Every dish we’ve tried has been packed full of flavor —you can tell they don’t skimp on ingredients. The steak bowl is a exceptional: tender, perfectly seasoned, and layered with bold flavors that make every bite satisfying. The “lao-rito” is simply a genius creation—just the right amount of crunch, spice, and savory steak, all wrapped up in one truly unforgettable bite. And don’t even get me started on the loaded fries—they were straight-up FIRE. Portions are very generous, they can easily stretch into leftovers (a rare treat for the price these days). My kids absolutely love it there; it’s become their go-to spot. Every time we’ve visited, the food has been consistently fantastic, fresh, and worth every minute of the wait. The staff is super friendly!! If you haven’t tried Laos House yet, you’re missing out on one of KC’s best hidden gems. Highly recommend! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Whose house?! Loas house!! This is my top favorite spot, where I consistently rise to the challenge of finishing my Lao-Rito! (chicken and shrimp mix is my go-to preference) It's huge enough to share! The presentation of the load fries is truly uplifting, making every bite feel like a celebration! If you're lucky, you might get a sneak peek taste of his crab ragon balls! Thanks always for the warm hospitality and mouth-watering food Chief Kay Pee & V!!

I literally never leave reviews but this place has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants ever. The loaded fries and Lao-Rito are genuinely one of the best meals I’ve had in my entire life, and the workers are always really nice. This food is so good that it’s beyond human comprehension and you’re doing yourself a disservice by NOT going.

Laos House completely blew me away. I ordered the Khao Gee sandwich, and it may be one of the best sandwiches in Kansas City. The baguette was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside, and the fillings were fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavor. Every bite had the perfect balance of savory, tangy, and crunchy. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why Kansas City’s food scene is so exciting. Highly recommend!
