The food here is excellent! The dry-braised fish was very fresh, with firm texture and rich, flavorful sauce that’s nicely spicy without being greasy. The pickled pepper frog was perfectly balanced—tangy and spicy, with tender, well-seasoned meat. Both dishes go great with rice. The service was also great—friendly, attentive, and efficient. Overall a very enjoyable dining experience. I’ll definitely come back!

I’ve been coming here for over ten years, and it’s always been one of my go-to spots. After the recent renovation, the restaurant looks amazing and is now perfect for gathering with friends. What impressed me most is that they not only kept the original flavors I’ve loved for years, but also elevated the overall quality. It’s great to see a long-standing restaurant continue to improve while staying true to its roots. Highly recommended.

all dishes were very delicious!! I’d highly recommend. the sauces on everything were so flavorful and delicious! we had the fresh chilis with beef and tofu, the shrimp and green beans, and the cold sesame noodles. big portion sizes and attentive staff as well.

5 Spices House in Boston’s Chinatown is well worth a visit for very fine Chinese cuisine. Just steps away, and in site of Chinatown Gate, the building is hard to miss. This is not your rural Chinese restaurant; 5 Spices has some of that, and oh, so much more. We decided to mix it up a bit. My lady went with the more traditional Kung Pao Style Beef with Peanut and Broccoli, while I dove deep into a delicious plate of Hot and Spicy Fish Fillet(s). We also had a large bowl of King Mushrooms with Scallion Oil, and the House threw in a complimentary plate of Vegetable Spring Rolls. Wow - that kept us busy for a while! Service was very friendly and helpful. Portions are more than ample. Highly recommended.

A refreshingly authentic Chinese meal that truly delivers. The eggplant with minced meat was rich and silky, the cabbage with pork belly deeply comforting, and the stir-fried pork carried a beautiful wok hei. The smashed cucumber salad added a bright, garlicky contrast. Generous portions, excellent value for money, and impressively fast service simple, honest food done right.
