The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and looks clean and inviting. It was also nice to see the dumplings being made fresh in front of customers. The service was good, and the chicken dumpling soup was tasty. One small suggestion would be to provide a larger soup spoon, as it would make the soup easier to enjoy. Overall, the food was decent, but nothing particularly memorable stood out. One issue was the timing of the dishes. The food came out one item at a time instead of together. By the time the next dish arrived, we had already finished the previous one. The fried rice came out last when most of the other food had already been eaten. It would be much better if the fried rice and other dishes were served closer together so everything can be enjoyed as a meal rather than separately. Overall, a pleasant place with good service and fresh-made dumplings, but the food pacing could be improved.

Novo Lantern was absolutely fantastic! You can tell the food is made with love. This family-owned restaurant takes great pride in the dishes they serve. When we walked in and saw the chef making each dumpling by hand, we knew we picked the right restaurant. Our server, Kiera, had the sweetest disposition and gave excellent recommendations. The complimentary bread was light and the flavor of the scallions perfectly balanced the sesame. For appetizers, we ordered pork soup dumplings, crab roe soup dumplings, and steamed chicken dumplings. They were absolutely delicious. I could have legitimately eaten my body weight in them. For entrees, we ordered pork belly Brussel sprouts, sesame chicken with steamed broccoli, and egg fried rice. For dessert, we ordered the matcha mochi, which was also handmade. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff was warm and welcoming. The experience was so good, we're seriously considering eating here again later this week.

Menu: I appreciate that they had gluten-free options labeled on the menu, and had options for everyone including the vegetarians and paleo people. Having a cauliflower rice was fantastic! Food: decent but nothing extraordinary, especially for the price. I enjoyed the beet cauliflower rice. The beef with broccoli was ok. Broccoli was a bit undercooked and I felt the sauce was missing something flavor wise. The food was also served lukewarm. Service: not great. They brought us the wrong dishes and were very inattentive. Had to ask for things repeatedly, and were not checked on at all. They were very good about refilling water though. I would have loved if we had been checked on to order tea etc. There was no opportunity unless you flagged someone down. Atmosphere: restaurant was pretty clean but tables were VERY small. To the point where it was extremely difficult to eat comfortably. Also the bathroom had the toilet seat completely missing for some reason and did not feel particularly clean. I love Chinese food and wanted to love this place but my impression was that it was overpriced and mediocre :(

Walked 2 miles round trip for soup dumplings after walking 10 miles earlier and would gladly do it again. All the food was amazing, the service was incredible and we were super happy we chose to come here for dinner.

The handmade dumplings were sooo good🤩super juicy and flavorful. You can really taste how fresh they are. The staff were also really friendly which made the experience even better. I heard they just recently opened, and honestly this place deserves to blow up soon. Love the place so much♥️
