Casual Chinese eatery with impressive vegan options. Vegan soup dumplings are especially rare, let alone well-made thin-skinned ones like these. Everything had pleasant texture and flavor balance. The truffle cauliflower wants to be split by a large party. It’s delicious for the first few bites but then the truffle-y smell becomes overbearing. It’s a bit much even split by two people. The cauliflower itself was cooked really well, tender but still retaining crunch. It highlights the Taishan cauliflower’s strength for stir-frying as you can’t get that texture with regular American cauliflowers. My only feedback is to experiment a bit with the starch used for the fried tofu to make it lighter and crispier. With a “simple” dish like this, that detail matters a lot more.

Very good first time experience here! We came after 9pm and had their happyhour which was a steal. Everything we ordered from the dan dan noodles to the egg rolls to the hot and sour soup was delicious and tasted authentic. We would definitely come back to try some different items!

I really wanted to like this place, but the management and logistics are a mess. The Service & Reservations: Don’t bother using their website reservation pad—it’s completely useless. They confirm it online, but when you show up, they have no record of it. They also don't pick up the phone. The restaurant is severely understaffed (only 2 waiters for 8 full tables), so the staff is overwhelmed. We waited for about 30 minutes and were ready to give up, but we checked back in and got a table only because the line cleared out. If you want to try this place, just show up and wait in line. The Food: The food is a mixed bag. The honey walnut shrimp came out incredibly fast, and we were really happy with it. The Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) was also quite good. However, the beef noodles were a massive letdown—the broth lacked flavor, the noodles were overcooked, and there wasn't enough meat. We couldn't even finish it. The tea: we order hot Hongkong milk tea, but came out cold drink. Overall, it has potential, but due to the reservation headache and understaffing, we would not come back.

We’re always on the hunt for good Chinese food downtown and we found a great place. We went with friends on Christmas Eve and it was packed! Service was meh and atmosphere Ok and kitschy. Fopd was delicious especially the dumplings. Don’t wait to try out ChiHo’s!

This restaurant is INCREDIBLE! The casual and comfortable atmosphere sets the mood for a delightful experience of flavors, textures and colors. I enjoyed my meal at the bar and felt well cared for, with the servers being attentive and responsive when we finished one course to bring the next. We happened to come during Seattles Restaurant Week and enjoyed the pairings menu. We ordered the truffle Cauliflower vegetables, traditional pork soup dumplings (OMG!!!!), Szechuan chili oil wontons, Dan Dan chili oil noodles and honey walnut prawns. Each dish was bursting with flavor and color! I am absolutely coming back to try the rest of the menu- I can hardly wait!
