Extremely disappointed with my experience at Golden Chinese Japanese. I ordered the vegetable egg foo young and it came out practically burnt — very dark, overcooked, and even smelled burnt. I brought it to the employee’s attention and instead of properly remaking it, I was told it would “look the same” if made again. That is definitely not how egg foo young is supposed to look or taste. I ended up getting refunded for the entree, but still paid around $15 basically for rice and gravy, and was even charged extra for an additional bowl after already dealing with burnt food. Customer service and food quality were both disappointing. I will not be returning.

Our first time trying Golden City. Amazing food. Wife and I were craving some Asian and Golden City didn't disappoint. I had the Orange Chicken with Fried Rice. Yummy 😋 My wife had Pork with Mixed Veggies. Yummy 😋 The staff were friendly and the food came out quick and hot. Recommend when in the Va Beach Oceanfront area.

Excellent food. Boneless spareribs are amazing and also the shrimp friend rice with chicken. The sauces they give you are also really good. The price is very fair! Staff seems rushed and kind of aloof despite not being busy. Otherwise, I will be back. EDIT: Updated to 5 stars. Food here is just too good and addicting!

The restaurant was kinda nasty compared to other restaurants in the area. The food was over priced and to top it off there was a hair in my food. Not just any hair, it looked to be a damn pubic hair 🤬🤮 Now I’m out of almost $60 and have no leftovers as it’s in the trash now.
