I loved everything about this restaurant. To start, the space is beautiful—calm, dim lighting with very open seating and large booths. The outside really doesn’t do justice to how nicely done the interior is. From the moment we arrived, the experience was great. The host was very friendly during our initial greeting, sharing details about the restaurant, like how they’ve been open for a little over a year and their food style. Once we got to our table, our server kept that same kindness going—engaging in light conversation and giving us great recommendations for our main course (we got the pork shank, but more on that soon). Our food was amazing—every item was delicious and very filling. We had the cucumber salad, dan dan noodles (which were damn good!), and soup dumplings. It was my first time trying them, and I was pleasantly surprised. The crab wontons were part of their April specials, and they were prepared perfectly. But the true showstopper was the pork shank—oh my god, it was insane. For starters, it’s huge. The meat is braised, making it incredibly tender, and it’s served in a thick, flavorful stew with veggies and potatoes. It was so good. I loved it here! I’m only sad that we live out of town, because if I could wrap this restaurant up, take it home, and make it my go to comfort food—I absolutely would.

I love authentic Szechuan, Hunan, and Chinese and seek it out when I travel, so recently while in VA Beach for work, I came here for dinner with a colleague. We were impressed with the huge size inside and the great décor of this place – it truly was very nice! Service was friendly and helpful too… Mary the manager on duty was helpful and very friendly – Which was great! We ordered several items from the menu so that we could try lots in a shareable style of meal. We got a bottle of a nice sake to enjoy during dinner. Then we started with their spicy cucumber and it was decent. Next up was their Sichuan wontons, which were very nicely done. The chili oil in them was flavorful with a decent spice to it. We enjoyed several items for dinner, with some of our favs being their dry stir-fry string beans, smoked chicken fried rice, and Sichuan basil chicken. We definitely enjoyed this visit and will be back!

Great dining atmosphere with clean restrooms. Bar included, large eating tables with plenty of arm space so you do not feel like you’re right on top of your guest(s). I have been stuck on the chicken, egg, and vegetables fried rice🤤. Large portion size for one setting or done for now/later however you choose but so filling.

Came here for a girls’ dinner and I would recommend! It is great for groups, and they have a large menu to choose from. The only thing my group didn’t care for were the soup dumplings. They were cold, and more creamy than brothy. Other than that, everything we ordered was delicious! I recommend the mandarin glaze spare ribs, pan fried pork dumplings, chicken chao mein, and szechuan string beans. I would definitely check this place out if you’re looking for a family dinner or a place to share food as a group!

We usually cook a fancy recipe at home for V-Day but we've both been really busy this week so we decided to go out to one of our favorites.. Wang Jiang Lou. Glad we did. Easily one of the top 3 Chinese meals we've ever had. And absolutely the best pork shank we've ever had. W.J.L. Pork Shank, Sry Stir-Fry String Beans and enough leftovers for another dinner for both of us the next night. Not pictured soup dumplings and scallion pancakes
