So I'm always worried about new Chinese delivery because they are notoriously famous for no descriptions or photos. I totally understand why independent owners struggle with making that a priority financially. I was impressed with the portion sizes and the food came super hot which for delivery is impressive. The prices were some of the lowest which I loved. My items: 1. Pork Egg Fu Young. Came with 3 decent sized omelets, white rice, and a generous portion of gravy. The gravy was thick and very flavorful. It was rich and delicious. This is how I rate Chinese food and for this I'd give it a 5 out of 5. 2. Pork Lo Mein. A quart size was packed full. The sauce was tasty and the pork was pretty tender. Not a huge amount of pork but for the price I was OK with it. 3. Smoked Sausage and Fried Rice. The sausage was generous and tasted great. A little char from the frying which made it even better. The rice wasn't any traditional fried rice (there was no brown color from a soy sauce). It has no flavor in my opinion but I ordered extra gravy and I added this which made it so much better. 4. Fried scallops. Came golden brown. The scallops are from frozen but really sweet and a great crispy coating. In the picture I added flaky garlic salt because everything fried needs it in my opinion. 5. The fried chicken potstickers were super small but tasted great. I got them free from an advertisement so I can't complain! The dumpling sauce was awesome! I will definitely be ordering from there again! If you're on the fence give it a try for sure.

Probably the weirdest experience with Chinese food- the food looks good, it's sauced, but the food was so bland. It tasted like nothing. You see it clearly has sauce but all three adults eating it took a few bites and had the same reaction- it tasted like nothing. To their credit, both the rangoons and egg drop soup had some flavor, but the rest was tasteless. I suppose it's better than tasting bad?

I haven’t eaten here in over a year because I found a better place the Hong Kong on N. Lynnhaven Rd. I thought I would given them another chance since I was in the area, I was in a hurry, and I was hungry. HUGE MISTAKE ON MY PART! I got 4 lunch specials 2 chicken egg foo young, 1 shrimp with bean sprouts, and 1 shrimp with oyster sauce. First off I never got the shrimp with oyster sauce. I got some dish with vegetables, shrimp with a red sweet sauce. DEFINITELY THE WRONG ORDER! S second the fried rice was dry, hard, with no taste. The chicken in the egg foo young was dry, and hard like beef jerky. Next the shrimp was hard, and chewy like chewy rubber. The bean sprouts was tastelessness. The food isn’t getting better it’s getting worse. I don’t care how much in a hurry, and how hungry I am. I WOULD RATHER CHEW ON AN OLD SHOE THEN EAT HERE. I have no idea how this place stays open, and why people eat here! I know for me this was there last chance I’m not coming back EVER! Not only is there food nasty, but they even got my order wrong. All I can say is people who eat here must have no taste at all.

Due to the storm I thought I made it in time for someone to deliver it but it got canceled and I completely understood. The owner himself called and was willing to drive our order and I had to beg the poor man to go home because it’s getting really bad! The love and passion he demonstrated was something out of this world! He is amazing and I can’t wait to try his food as soon as the storm passes. God bless you guys!
