CONF1DENCE Hayes 2 months agoAbsolutely delicious! Food was seasoned so well. Stopped in on a Saturday night around 8:00, party of 3. We were seated quickly. The restaurant was clean and waiter was friendly. I don’t eat meat. I ordered the general Tso chicken plate and replaced the chicken with the fried tofu. Ordered a side of green beans. SO DELICIOUS!!! Everything was so flavorful. My friends ordered the three meat with fried rice and general T’so plate. Prices are very reasonable for the large portions. $15.60 was the price (tax included) for one plate of meat and rice The restroom was clean. It’s in an awkward spot. Behind the cashier just before you get to the kitchen. There are no paper towels only a hand dryer. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and definitely recommend.
Piggly Wiggly a month agoLate-night spot in Chinatown with a lively atmosphere and lots of people even on weekdays. Parking validation was a big plus. The food was overall average, but the wonton noodle soup was good — flavorful broth and very bouncy shrimp wontons. The oxtail hot pot was also tender and great with rice. Prices are reasonable, good for casual late-night eats, but probably not a place I’d go out of my way for.
Yvan Connoyer 5 months agoFirst of all, The server took our order with a smirk like he’s not glad that we’re there which spoils as this is our first visit to this place. But instead of walking out, we still gave a chance to try it since it has 4.5 stars review coz maybe the food is worth it. We ordered beef brisket soup, chicken wings, beef innards and beef intestine. Other than being so bland or too salty, almost everything has a large amount of lettuce for salad which overpowers the taste. All the meat are hard and i choked a little like twice to their beef brisket and pork intestine. The noodle is not cooked that it is a little hard and dry, this is their beef brisket noodle soup. Their mango milkshake tastes like an instant or powdered milkshake. Not a fresh one. No free tea like the other chinese restaurants. In the picture i took all the lettuce because it is too overwhelming already. (Oh, i forgot to take lettuce in fried wings) Their condiment is only a soysauce and chili. Just an honest review. I do not recommend this reataurant.
Sando Blahima a year agoI absolutely love chi Café ever since me and my boyfriend discovered his hidden gem about four years ago. When I moved to Chicago? We order from them at least 4 times a month🔥 Food is always fresh made with love and most importantly they're open late night. We love the 420 and sip 🍻🍷a so it's always a great addition to have authentic Chinese food.🥡 they're very affordable and they have a large menu! The only thing that sucks is when they're busy they'll turn off their delivery services on Uber eats earlier than usual, but they are open very late. If you walk in they'll take care of you every time you can dine and take takeout or do delivery. Thank you for all you do for the community. ♥️ follow my page @AggiesAfricanEats 😘
Dolores Grullon 7 months agoNormally the food is really good. I usually order the salt and pepper shrimp, which is the best I've had in Chicago. Thanksgiving, however, is not the day to order there. The food was awful! I ordered chicken fried rice, vegetable fried rice, beef teriyaki, salt and pepper shrimp, and crab rangoon. None of it was good. The fried rice did not taste fresh. The cab rangoon was too doughy. The beef teriyaki had more onions than beef and a mushy consistency. And the salt and pepper shrimp, which I always love, was soggy and a less amount. Our Thanksgiving dinner was not enjoyable. I might return for the salt and pepper shrimp to see if it was just a mishap, but other than that, I won't be ordering there anymore.
