Food: just average Cantonese cuisine, but there were some dishes that I quite enjoyed: clam with black bean sauce, salted egg yolk shrimp, fried intestines, and Mongolian beef. The clams with black bean sauce were well flavored and umami. The salted egg yolk shrimp is not on the menu. I guess it was a secret menu item. I recommend it without the shell so you can enjoy it with salted egg yolk sauce that coats the shrimp. The sauce is slightly grainy and creamy in texture. Fried intestines might not be for everyone, but I personally love intestines for its fatty, soft, and chewy texture. Lastly, the Mongolian beef was very tender and well-seasoned Service: our waitress was very friendly and would check up on us. 10/10! Atmosphere: typical no frills Chinese restaurant interior. Very casual mom and pop shop kind of vibe.

If you're dining here, don't skip the Egg Drop Soup. The broth is rich and comforting, and the delicate strands of egg make every spoonful satisfying. It has a clean, fresh taste that feels both nourishing and delicious. A perfect start to an excellent meal.

Fantastic hidden spot! My son and I were ono for Chinese food after we spent the morning at Bishop museum. This place was only a half mile away, tucked behind a smal strip mall. Not only was the food excellent, it came out super fast. Prices are great, and portions are generous. The staff was personable, kind, and vert attentive. We will definitely be including Au's in our future trips to Oahu.

We had lunch here for the first time after finding our destination full. The food came quickly and was tasty. The lamb casserole didn't have much color but had the requisite flavor. The string beans and pork was the best dish ... dark green, crunchy, and packed with flavor. The crisp gau gee with crispy noodles was fine. We ran into the chef from one of our favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurants... if he comes here, it must be alright.

The food and service is always great. The restaurant is very clean but it's far from fine dining. So don't expect much ambiance.
