My favorite place to get spicy noodle soup with beef. I love paring my noodle bowls with their house friend rice. I have come across many fried rice in my life and this has to be my favorite. On difficult days, I come here to lift my spirits and fill my stomach. On happy days I also come here to celebrate. Very small place but the wait feels like it never happened once their flavors are gliding through your tastebuds. The house beef is well flavored and although the tenderness varies at every visit, as whole, it is outstanding. I may also be biased because I do get this through Uber Eats regularly. #stayfullstaysatisfied

Chong Qing Cuisine is such a gem and quickly became one of my favorite spots for Chinese noodle soup. We stopped by for a late lunch on a rainy day, which made the experience even better. The restaurant is small but clean and cozy, with counter seating and a few tables, fitting about 20 people total. It definitely feels like a family run spot. Seating can be tough when it’s busy, and street parking is the only option, but it’s worth it. Ordering through the QR code was actually really nice. We could take our time and see pictures of all the dishes. Portions were very generous. The Boiled Fish Pickled Cabbage Noodle was huge, so big I had to take half home, and the broth was incredibly flavorful. The Spicy Beef Noodle was just as comforting and rich. The Mapo Tofu was delicious with bold spices and that classic Szechuan pepper kick. We also tried the tangerine soda, which tasted just like the Asian orange soda I had as a kid. Service was minimal but friendly, with water refills and check ins. Overall, amazing food, great flavors, and a cozy atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.

Without a doubt, this is the best dry twice-cooked pork noodle in Hawaii. It’s packed with flavor, and I always get it with wide noodles—they’re so much better than the thick or thin ones. Most of the flavor settles at the bottom, so be sure to mix your bowl well before eating to coat the noodles. This dish is hands down the best thing to order. I also tried the Wuwei beef noodle soup. While it’s good, it doesn’t come close to the incredible dry twice-cooked wide noodles. The beef itself is excellent—tender and flavorful—but the soup base isn’t beefy enough for me. It’s nothing like authentic Taiwanese beef noodle soup, so I’d say skip it and go for the dry noodles instead. Next time, I might ask if it’s possible to order just the beef from the soup as a side. The food here is as authentic as it gets. I came for lunch, and every table was packed with people speaking fluent Chinese—no locals, no Japanese, no Koreans, no Americans, just Chinese speakers. The kitchen ladies were also arguing loudly with the person at the front of the house—probably family, though I’m not sure. The yelling reminded me of how my mom scolds me. Definitely authentic, inside and out.

Our go to place for food delivery when visiting Honolulu. So can’t speak for service or dining in experience. Otherwise great food, very authentic taste for Chinese people. Love their beef rice noodles.

Chong Qing Cuisine provides Sichuan style dishes with bold flavors, spice level to your liking, and a full stomach. The menu has limited selection, but providing consistent flavor and tender meats. Service is fair and interior is clean. The seating has only 5 tables and ordering is self serve. Unfortunately, they dont have desserts and parking is metered street parking. Free after 5pm
