So, this Chinese resturant is a blast from the past, in all ways, good and bad. Keep in mind, we went for lunch, and this was a lunch menu experience. The appetizers of soup and fried wantons were great. Same with our main courses. The drinks were very good as well. The problem was with the fried rice. It was stale, dry, and (I dont use this word often) disgusting. It was palpable. And they did NOTHING about it. We got a dismissive shrug from TWO people when we told them the issue, with no attempt to replace it or anything. Essentially a third of our meal was inedible and all we got was an "Oh Well" The only reason why this place didn't get a lower score is because everything else was fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable too. And the fish in that tank were great. Friendly, and more attentive than the staff. When you go there, tell the fish Chazz said HI.

This is a true Chinese restaurant. First time here with my husband. Restaurant has a calm, quiet ambiance that is warmly lit red. The staff was very courteous and attentive. We ordered the Imperial Dinner $18/person and it was some of the best Chinese food we've had here in AZ (especially since moving back from Northern California where it is phenomenal!) The hot and sour soup was very flavorful and the right amount of texture and kick. Their crab angels were amazing!!!! The appetizer it comes with also included egg rolls and fried shrimp which were also very good. I ordered the lemon chicken (which I would highly recommend) and my husband had the Kung Pao Chicken and he loved it! We ordered fried rice, which was very moist and cooked perfectly! All in all, $46 before tip, very good food, took home leftovers overs, highly recommend especially for dine in!

Great place. Food is good. Sorry, didn’t remember to take food photos til after we started eating. You won’t be sorry if you try Golden Gate plus it’s been around for over 30 years. The lunch special is the best deal. For two ppl it comes out to $21 total.

It was delicious tej food came out super quick hardly any wait! My girlfriend and I had their lunch special it was delicious we had orange chicken and teriyaki chicken it was very satisfying and filling! The atmosphere was super cool and service was efficient and kind!

The best casual Chinese food in town. Small & unassuming hidden restaurant right off the 101, but good ambiance, exceptionally nice staff, and great flavors! Absolutely authentic! u Shang chicken, Ma Po tofu, and the Plum chicken are all to die for, and not to be missed. Snow white chicken is also really good, and lunch options are very well priced. Definitely give this restaurant a try!
