From my own experiences, Soul Let’s Eat has been consistently unreliable and unprofessional. The address listed online leads to an office building rather than an actual restaurant. The posted hours on Google are completely inaccurate — each attempt I’ve made to support this business has come with a new excuse: “sold out,” “corporate event,” “equipment issues,” and so on. I’ve even seen them try to set up at events and still never manage to open. There was also a cloud‑kitchen location in Oakland that opened and shut down within the same month, which only reinforced the pattern of inconsistency and lack of follow‑through. The owner promotes the concept of “healthy soul food,” but most of what I’ve seen is deep‑fried. Calling fried poultry a healthy alternative feels misleading. Someone I know told me they became extremely sick after trying the fish and believed it wasn’t fried properly. I can’t verify their experience, but hearing that — on top of everything else — was a major red flag. The few times I’ve encountered staff, they appeared unkempt and smelled strongly of weed. That was my personal observation, but it didn’t inspire confidence in the professionalism or cleanliness of the operation. The pricing also doesn’t match the product. I’ve seen three very small turkey ribs sold at a premium price, and from what I observed, they looked precooked, reheated on a grill, and topped with store‑bought BBQ sauce. The value simply wasn’t there. I’ve also heard from others that some food may be cooked far in advance and frozen. I can’t confirm that myself, but given the overall pattern, it wouldn’t surprise me. Based on everything I’ve personally seen, I can’t recommend Soul Let’s Eat. Reliability, transparency, and consistent food quality matter — and this business hasn’t demonstrated any of them. There are plenty of soul food spots in the Bay Area that show up, serve consistently, and respect their customers. SOUL LET’S NOT EAT

What a joke. I didnt eat there but any establishment that cannot take 30 seconds to update their correct address on Goggle is not an establishment I am interested in supporting. They are likely the same individuals who have an issue when we don't support Black businesses. Do Better!

So the correct address is 2353 E 12th St Oakland Ca 94601! Star was Amazing, the food was fresh and Hit the Spot! I ended up catering for my office potluck...It was a huge success and the prices were good on my pockets!!! TY again💜👌🏽

We thought about trying this spot because the photos and reviews looked good but turns out this location is their corporate office and not for take out / dine in (though google says it is). Giving a 1 star because we wasted money taking an uber to this location (and back) and when we called to figure out how to get to the restaurant the person was pretty nonchalant about the situation. They did apologize but tried to blame google for this issue - It’s not hard to update your information and they should make it a priority to do so
