We ordered a lot! Everything here is really great and I would come here all the time if I could. Ming’s Tasty dim sum is one of the best in the Bay Area. You can taste the freshness of the dishes and it really shows. Their service and turnaround is relatively quick and efficient. We ordered the black bean pork spare ribs, chicken feet, siu mai, shrimp dumplings, meat-stuffed snow bun, shrimp rice rolls, fried turnip cake, and fried stuffed meat dumplings. All of their food is pretty good, but some of the must-try dishes here are the shrimp rice rolls and the fried stuffed meat dumplings. Best to come with a larger party, so you can try it all!

Good & cheap eats for Dim Sum in the heart of downtown Oakland. Dim Sum here always cook fresh & hot when you ordered. The claypot rice is good but too expensive. Only has 4 pieces of chicken & 1 piece of black mushroom, lol, for almost $16. Downside: The menu is smaller compared to other restaurants. The wait is very long here since it’s a small restaurant. The restaurant is always packed, especially at lunch time, weekends, & holidays. It’s small, packed, & very noisy. So, not recommended for relaxing or big family gatherings. The waitresses here are crazily noisy. They always screaming & yelling around, adding the extra noises to the noisy restaurant, & making the environment very intense. Recommend: 1st time here, ✍️ your name on the wait list, while waiting for your table, get the menu & filled what you want to order right away, once you get your table, just hand the filled menu to the waitress so you can get your food ready soon.

Favorites were the custard bun, pea sprout dumpling (not pictured), rice noodle roll with fried shrimp, and snowy baked bbq pork bun! Pork & shrimp dumpling siu mai were nice and big, a bit on the salty side! Friendly service!

I went last week as a recommendation after having my blood drawn just a few blocks away. I had the shrimp dumplings, wonton noodle soup and the pork bun. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I went early (around 11am) and it was packed. I was accommodated a seat at a shared table. The service is friendly and efficient. The food was all hot tasty and affordable. I spent less than 30 for everything. I didn't have any trouble with parking - parked at a meter.

Pretty good dim sum items! Good prices! Service was good! The dim sum items arrived hit and fresh on our table to enjoy! The servers were excellent in their customer service skills. It is located in the center of Oakland Chinatown; therefore, parking is tight at the area paid lots. When in the Chinatown area, this is a good place to fulfill a desire for a good dim sum meal at a reasonable price.
