Eva 3 months agoThe bánh mì immediately felt like a letdown. For the price, I expected something more substantial, but instead I was handed what amounted to half a breadstick. While the BBQ meat filling itself was decent, mild and not overly strong, the portion size simply didn’t justify what I paid. The bread was the biggest issue. It was overdone to the point of being unpleasantly hard and slightly burnt, which completely threw off the sandwich. A bánh mì should have a light crisp texture, not feel tough to bite through. More attention to balance and less overdoing the bread would make a big difference. The crab rangoon was the most disappointing part of the meal. The outside was cooked nicely, golden and crisp, but the inside was not fully cooked. The texture made it seem rushed, and it was honestly off putting. I ended up feeling sick afterward, which made the experience even worse. Next day and I’m still sick because of the crab Rangoon:/
Tm S 10 months agoI ordered midnight Cafe on doordash it is a fairly new restaurant had a bahn mi sandwich pork the bread was so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside the flavor of everything was just delicious perfect amounts of sliced jalapeno daikon cilantro and carrot. Besides here I have only had one really good Bahn mi (and it was in North Carolina of all places). The general tso's chicken was fresh a little crispy not too overpowering in sweetness or spice just the perfect mix. The egg rolls were crispy and delicious perfect flavor. The lo mein was all right but needs a little more flavor besides that it had a ton of fresh vegetables. And my kids loved the Thai tea boba tea. Everything came fresh, hot and delicious everything had a bunch of fresh vegetables it looked appealing tasted wonderful also not too much on the grease which is wonderful!! My new go-to favorite place for Bahn mi sandwich BEST IN MILWAUKEE 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend this place to anyone!!! And they have the best little sesame red bean paste balls ❤️ sorry I do not have a picture of the Bahn mi because I devoured it...
Hope 2 months agoFor people who don't know, this isn't a sit down restaurant. You enter the building, order on a kiosk, and they bring your order out in a to-go bag. I ordered the build your own pho at like 10:30pm and only waited like 10 minutes for my order. Just to clarify, because I was confused, the build your own pho has options to add additional veggies but the pho already comes with everything: bean sprouts, jalapenos, lime, onions, basil, 1 sriracha packet, 2 hoisin sauce packets. And as an fyi, It's lee kum kee sriracha which i don't like very much. The broth was good, a little oily and i wish it was a little bit hotter, but the flavor was nice. Came with a ton of bean sprouts and a lot of noodles, so the portion size for the medium is amazing. However, I ordered just the brisket and the brisket wasn't good at all, and it only came with like 4 or 5 pieces. Love that they're open late, and everything is packaged very well. Overall if you're craving pho late at night like i was, it's a great choice, but maybe i won't get the brisket next time
Kao Yang 6 months agoGreat food! Sauce is incredible for seafood boil. Hands down the best flavor in town. Definitely a must try! Wish their was a dine-in option.
Suzanne P. 6 months agoMy fiancé got food from here on Christmas Eve. The Singapore noodles were good, cooked well albiet a little bland on the flavor. The General Tso's chicken had good flavor but unfortunately the chicken itself was severely overcooked. I tried contacting them through their online contact form but never heard back from anyone. We also own a restaurant in the area and stress how important customer service is, especially when it can be easily rectified. I was looking forward to returning to try more items, as I am Vietnamese and was excited to learn of this place, however I am turned off by the lack of response or care to remedy an easy fix.
