King Wok Chinese Restaurant

I was excited to try king wok because the name makes it sounds great. The first thing that hits you when you walk into this place is the smell. It just smells really unclean. I loved that it looked like a mom and pop shop with their son playing on his game but the woman who checked me out was so rude and seemed annoyed at my existence. I ordered broccoli and steak and I double checked the price with her was 12.25. Because I was trying to figure out how my total came to almost $14 because I’m a math nerd. But I didn’t fight her and I paid but asked for the receipt. She said she would give me the receipt when she gave me my food. But I wanted proof of purchase because I was going to step outside to wait. She told me again I wouldn’t get my receipt until I got my food. I told her I needed the receipt and she got really angry. I eventually got the receipt and went to get eyebrows while I waited and came back within the 10 min as she said. She continued having an attitude and the food was mid at best. I could hardly stomach it. When I looked at my receipt they charged me and extra .50 for using a credit card. Which is why I was asking about the price jump in the beginning. I had and could have used cash. And I don’t mind being charged a fee when the business is transparent about it but she was overly deceitful and purposely tried to hide the extra fee and refused to give me the receipt at least 3 times. I’ve never seen another customer there. I can understand ordering from here with Uber Eats or something but if you ever come in person the whole vibe is very off putting. It was a Friday evening and they had no business. I understand why now and I will not be back.

i got the sesame seed chicken with fried rice and an egg roll and some crab rangoons and everything was so delicious. i started digging in before i took the photo but the sesame chicken had a really good taste to it that i find a lot of places don’t get quite right.

Ordered delivery at 6:04pm ETA 7pm Its now 7:40pm and nothing so im just assuming the worst and making my own food Although I can't say how the food is .... because I haven't received it still .... judging from the other reviews and the fact its 40 minutes late and counting my assumption would be ice cold and likely barely edible Either way definitely not worth 50$ its no wonder they force you to add. Tip at checkout even if you pay cash Ordered through their website Maybe that was a mistake 🤔

The only reason why I gave this place a 4 Star Rating is because of the wait. 45 minutes and I had an online order. But other than that the food was hot and really good. This was my first time coming. I would come back but I know I should expect at least a 30 minute wait.

I ordered the lunch special “Chinatown”; it came with a combination of meat, veggies, fried rice, and egg roll. Great portion for the price (approximately $7.50) and the shrimp and rice were superb. Steak and chicken were a bit over cooked for my preference. But I also ordered a side of chili-oil and egg drop soup that was excellent! I will return for lunch.
