S B a year agoWe ate dinner at Ding Ho’s and it was delicious! I had a bowl of Hot and Sour Soup, two egg rolls, and Cashew Chicken with Fried Rice. My spouse had an egg roll and War Sue Gai. Everything was very good. The egg rolls were the best we’ve ever had. The sweet and sour sauce with hot mustard is a must for me and these egg rolls did not disappoint! Our server was courteous and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was inviting and clean. We will definitely be returning soon!!
Henry Luecht 3 weeks agoExcellent service, food was very fresh and tasty. Definitely lived up to the hype which brought me in.
Leslie Cowen 8 months agoWe stopped in for lunch and were greeted right away and seated quickly. The service throughout our meal was genuinely excellent—our server was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant has a nostalgic, old-school charm with comfortable seating and plenty of parking. However, the restrooms could use some updating and attention. We started with the Hot & Sour Soup and an order of Spare Ribs. The soup had a strong vinegar-forward flavor, but I still enjoyed it and especially liked the fresh scallions on top that added a nice crunch. The spare ribs were tender and meaty, though I personally would have preferred a richer glaze or more seasoning, as they felt a bit light on flavor compared to what I expected. For entrées, my son ordered the Sesame Chicken with steamed rice, which he enjoyed, though the sauce leaned noticeably acidic. I ordered the Wor Sue Gai combination with fried rice and an egg roll, upgrading to white meat. Since this dish is somewhat of a signature here, I was excited to try it. The chicken itself was crisp and well-cooked, but the bright yellow sauce—colored with food dye—was surprisingly mild in flavor. I found myself adding soy sauce to give it more depth. The fried rice also missed the mark for me; it had a sticky texture and didn’t resemble traditional fried rice in flavor or preparation—more like steamed rice lightly tinted. The egg roll had a wonderfully crisp exterior, but the filling was fairly mild and could benefit from more seasoning. The duck sauce on the table, while a nice touch, also leaned heavily vinegar-forward. Important Note for Vegetarians/Vegans: If you are vegetarian or vegan, be aware that many of their sauces and vegetarian dishes are made using chicken broth. There isn’t a straightforward broth substitute available in their kitchen. My daughter, who is vegan, would not have had many options here, so that’s something to keep in mind when visiting. Overall, this is a comfortable and welcoming spot with wonderful staff and classic atmosphere. While some dishes were enjoyable, others lacked the flavor I hoped for. I think it works well for a casual lunch, but based on this visit, it doesn’t quite rise to a five-star experience for me. The standout here is truly the hospitality and warmth of the people who work here.
Stephanie Phelps 7 months agoThe wonton soup is a must. The sweet and sour chicken was superb, too. The restaurant felt very clean to me, and our waitress was very kind. She checked on me a couple of times while I waited for my friend to arrive which was an added bonus. I went around 2 o'clock on Saturday, so the service was very quick. My friend an I also got some of their egg rolls and you can tell they are homemade. They were pretty big. I recommend going during odd hours- makes it easier to get in and get out (the parking lot doesn't have a traffic light one can depend on if you need to make a left turn out of there). I did spend about $25 including tip, but there are lunch specials available to make the price cheaper.
Jesse Wellman a month agoLet me just start with the smell, the smell of this place is so inviting with the smell of the food, our waitress so nice, so attentive, and very helpful! I got wor sue gai with out peanuts and the gravy is sooooo good it is rich with a chicken flavor so if thats not your vibe id suggest passing up on it, bur let me tell you, its a mistake I promise you! The lady waiting on us super sweet! She packaged our left overs for us so fast and neat and offered extra sauces for free! I highly suggest eating here atleast once in your life!
