Robb Wood 3 months agoSimple and delicious! I enjoy visiting for a cozy lunch during the week and it is very good. The dishes are elegant and simple with fresh prepared noodles, soups, rice and meats. The duck dishes are my favorite.
J S a month agoGenerally speaking the food is consistent. House made dumplings and noodles can’t be compared. I should have written something years ago about how great they are. They have another location in Washington Park but I haven’t visited. Overall my family and friends have coming over the years and we are just astonished. It used to be a space where restaurants kept on changing and FWTT has become a staple in Cherry Creek. I hope the community realizes this hidden gem for what it is. Great food, incredible wine and maybe one of the best patios in the area. Pork dumplings and the duck noodles are my go to with a spritz on the patio.
Tad Daniels 6 months agoIncredible little place. Service was 10/10, but honestly there was no way they could upstage the dumplings or noodles. The sausage in the soup dumplings is MAGIC, and the Shanghai Beef Noodles might have changed my life. So simple, but best bite I’ve had in a LONG time.
Ryan Knauff 5 months agoWe have been coming here for years. We realized we hadn’t ordered from here in awhile and decided to get takeout this evening. We got chicken street noodles, shrimp fried rice, pan fried dumplings, and bbq steam buns. The food was genuinely bad. Nothing was seasoned, the shrimp tasted like they were poached in water, and nothing was crispy like it normally is. But most disappointingly, it was bland and flavorless. The dumplings had a raw dough texture on the inside, and the steam buns were mealy. We come here because the food is elevated above other noodle places, but I can genuinely say we could have ordered from any random noodle/dumpling shop this evening and it would have been loads better. From pickup to consuming the food was probably 25 minutes old, so wasn’t a timing issue either.
Jake Norris 3 years agoUnderstated in almost every way, this nook of a restaurant serves up a very limited menu of Chinese standards, wine and beer. The downstairs serves Chinese street food inspired dishes while the upstairs is more formal. The space is tiny so be prepared to sit close to the table next to you and limited real estate on your table. The seasoning of the food is subdued, bordering on under seasoned. We ordered pan fried pork dumplings that were simply a delicately seasoned ground pork on a dumpling skin... So green onions, no additional ingredients. We visited in the winter so I am not sure if they are paying homage to the cold season devoid of fresh veg, but my shrimp fried rice had a few scant pieces of cabbage and no other veggies. The flavor was gentle and mild. My girlfriend had the stir fried duck noodles. This was the best dish we had. Again a surprisingly scant amount of veg in the mix, but a nice balanced flavor. Overall we enjoyed it and look forward to returning, perhaps try the soups, but we both left asking the question " is our palate just used to over spiced American style foods and this is normal amount of flavor?" I will be back to test through the changing menu to see
