This restaurant delivers the kind of dining experience that fades from memory almost immediately. In fact, I had visited once before and completely forgot — which says everything. The service lacked confidence and familiarity with the menu. When guests are interested in trying something new, staff should be able to describe dishes with enthusiasm and knowledge, not hesitation. The food itself was equally uninspired. The hot and sour soup arrived with an unappetizing film on top and lacked the bold, balanced flavor the dish is known for. The Mongolian beef and crab puffs followed almost immediately, forcing me to choose between finishing my soup or eating the entrée hot. Unfortunately, neither dish justified the rush; both suffered from a dull, muted flavor profile. Dessert options were nonexistent beyond a fortune cookie, and the atmosphere felt generic and forgettable. Ultimately, nothing stood out — not the service, the food, or the ambiance — and that may be the restaurant’s biggest flaw. I will not be returning.

Every time I've dined here, it has been a pleasant and satiating experience. The food is good. The service is polite and kind. The environment appears clean, well-kept and adequately illuminated by natural light from the windows along the north side of the restaurant. Their prices are reasonable, given the current inflationary times in which we live. They have lunch menu combo plates at $11.99 and $12.99 that will satisfy and are a better deal than the pricing insanity you find at most fast food chains these days. Recommended without hesitation.

Food was terrible. Picked up an order of sesame beef this morning that was charred and inedible. Literally could barely chew through the beef. They also refuse to pick up their phone or setup their mailbox so that they can be reached for a refund. 0 out of 5 stars, make your own food at home.

We’ve been going to Old Peking for a long time and it’s been awhile since our last time!We went there on a weekday for the lunch special. It is a nice atmosphere inside especially to the left. The lunch specials were about 12-14 bucks. We got two crab rangoon, cashew chicken and sesame chicken with steamed white rice and the hot sour soup to start. We also got the delicious scallion pancake, a start fav!The soup was absolutely delicious. The dishes were generous in portion size and were very good as well! We got a 25’ calendar to go which was a nice gift!The service was not the best.When I asked for something the waitress pushed back in reply, “just a minute, I’m trying to serve this person and I’ll be back!” However, when many others did the same she didn’t do that to them. I also had to ask for a refill of my water as she never came around to ask. I would order from there again but there are other great places to go nearby as well with great service and just as delicious of food too! We will go back for the amazing food, nice atmosphere and hope for better service.

I actually visited this place a couple of weeks ago. I used to dine here a lot with when it was operated by the 2 previous owners. I ordered Pork Belly (紅燒肉), and it was spicy! This dish should never be spicy! The meat itself also isn't tender enough.
